Generalist EC-6 & Generalist 4-8:
A review course designed to assist teachers in preparing for the Generalist EC-6 and 4-8 test which involves designing and implementing instruction and assessment in all domains along with an emphasis on the content of the reading section required for Texas state certification. EC-6 and 4-8 classes may be combined.
Bilingual Supplemental & English as a Second Language Supplemental:
A review course to assist teachers in preparing for the supplemental ESL or supplemental Bilingual TExES exams as well as providing essential information for understanding how to facilitate and differentiate instruction for ESL and Bilingual learners. It is a course that covers the history, laws, research, methodology, strategies, rationale, and varied ESL/Bilingual programs. (ESL and Bilingual classes are combined).
PPR EC-12:
A review course to assist teachers in preparing for the PPR (Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities) EC-4, 4-8, 8-12, EC-12 TExES exam emphasizing effective teaching strategies, instruction and assessment relative to current best practices.
Special Education Supplemental:
A review course to assist teachers in preparing for the supplemental Special Education TExES exam emphasizing appropriate delivery of instruction for learners with identified needs; issues related to the identification process for serving students in the Least Restrictive Environment; the identification and assessment process; and eligibility standards and compliance procedures related to the ARD process.
Mathematics 4-8/8-12:
A review course to assist teachers in preparing for the Math 4-8 and Math 8-12 TExES content exams emphasizing the understanding of math content on the elementary, middle and high school levels; best practices associated with lesson preparation, math instruction, learning, and assessment; and the familiarization of test-taking strategies.
Science 4-8
A review course to assist teachers in preparing for the Science 4-8 TExES exam emphasizing understanding of science content on the elementary and middle school level; best practices associated with science instruction, learning, and assessment; and the familiarization of test-taking strategies.
