Region 4 ESC provides products, professional development, and technical assistance to Local Education Agencies (school districts and charter schools) to assist in meeting federal, state, and local mandates for students with disabilities who qualify for special education and related services. This assistance is specifically designed to support school districts and charter schools in implementing the requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD)/ Individual Education Programs (IEP) Process  for developing IEPs for students with disabilities.
