Energy Capital: Revealing Recurring Themes and Concepts Through Real-World Connections
December 9 @ 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Middle school science is rich with opportunities to build powerful conceptual connections, but students often miss these links when content is taught in isolation. Using Texas energy as a theme, this professional development experience empowers educators to move beyond disconnected instruction by exploring how recurring science themes, such as energy, system interactions, and stability and change, can serve as unifying threads across strands and grade levels. Through hands-on investigations, collaborative debriefs, and real-world applications, participants will learn how to make these connections explicit, helping students see science as an integrated field. Participant will receive access to the STEM modules that connect classroom learning to the real world in the JASON Learning platform.
