There’s a kind of work that stays with you. It challenges you, grows with you, and gives you something solid to stand on. It comes with routine you can count on, built-in time to reset, and a sense of purpose that carries into everything you do. That’s what teaching can be when it starts in the right place. Region 4 helps you get certified without the confusion, the delays, or the one-size-fits-all approach. You bring the drive. We help you turn it into something that lasts.

Who we are
Region 4 is one of 20 regional education service centers established by the Texas Legislature in 1967 to assist school districts and charter schools in improving student performance and districts’ efficiency. Regional education service centers are nonregulatory, intermediate education units. Texas Education Code, Chapter 8, allows each school district to voluntarily be served by a regional education service center.
We designed the following goals to align with and support our North Star Goal—empowering superintendents to increase the number of high-performing schools in their districts:
1. Champion school districts in improving performance
2. Achieve financial efficiency while offering cost-effective strategies
3. Cultivate a positive and high-performing workplace

Some careers are built on helping others move forward. School counseling gives you the chance to support students in real time while building a career that is steady, meaningful, and deeply respected. It offers the space to listen, the tools to guide, and the ability to make every conversation count. At Region 4, certification is more than a process. It’s a pathway built with clarity, support, and the flexibility to match your goals. The work is important. The opportunity is real. And it starts here.

Leadership in education takes more than vision. It takes courage, clarity, and the ability to move people forward. Principals shape the culture of a campus, set the tone for learning, and build teams that change lives. The role is challenging, but the rewards run deep. From professional advancement to the pride of creating something lasting, the impact is undeniable. Region 4 offers a certification path that respects your time, strengthens your skills, and prepares you to lead with confidence. When you are ready to step up, we are ready to help you rise.

Superintendents carry the vision for an entire district. They make decisions that shape communities, support educators, and open doors for every student. It is a role built on trust, strategy, and the ability to lead through complexity. For those ready to take that next step in leadership, Region 4 provides a certification experience that is focused, flexible, and aligned with real-world demands. The work is serious. The responsibility is great. The opportunity to lead at the highest level starts here.

Every school day begins with you. Bus drivers do more than operate a route. They create a sense of safety, consistency, and care for the students who rely on them. It is a role that brings structure, purpose, and the chance to make a lasting impact before the first bell even rings. With steady hours, reliable benefits, and a place on the team that keeps schools moving, this is more than just driving. Region 4 provides the certification and support to help you get started and stay ready.
