Foundations for Success: Texas School Nurse Orientation & Mentorship Program
September 27 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

This comprehensive 8-month program is designed to support newly hired Texas school nurses in building confidence, competence, and connection within their unique practice setting. The program launches with a dynamic in-person orientation focused on foundational skills, legal requirements, and the school nurse’s role in student success. Participants will then engage in six monthly virtual sessions led by experienced nurse mentors and content experts, fostering continuous learning and reflective practice. The program concludes with a capstone in-person event, celebrating growth, collaboration, and leadership development.
Topics include delegation, documentation, school health laws, emergency preparedness, chronic disease management, and professional advocacy.
*This is an 8-month commitment starting with this event. There are a total of 8 events to attend, both virtually and in-person.
