Blueprints for Powerful Instruction

Ready to build stronger science instruction from the ground up?
Join fellow educators for a one-day conference focused on designing 3D learning experiences that drive real understanding and student success.

Explore instructional blueprints that empower students to investigate phenomena, solve problems through engineering design, and think critically using scientific practices and concepts.

🔹 Learn how to make science concepts come alive through 3D TEKS
🔹 Gain ready-to-use strategies that foster collaboration, innovation, and resilience
🔹 Experience lessons that support deep thinking and long-term retention
🔹 Walk away with tools to strengthen engagement, boost rigor, and align instruction

Whether you're in the classroom or leading instruction, this conference equips you with practical, standards-aligned strategies to make science stick.

Registration includes lunch!

Conference Strands

How can you help fellow leaders effectively lead science? Proposals should address strategies for coaching and mentoring teachers, handling change management, and/or supporting professionalism in the workplace. Examples of session content may include leading professional learning communities (PLCs), curriculum and/or assessment writing teams, and supporting new TEKS implementation.

Are you already embedding STEM practices into your teaching? Proposals should address scientific and engineering practices (SEPs), recurring themes and concepts (RTCs), the engineering design process, STEM fluency skills, phenomena and/or project-based learning. Examples of sessions may include emphasizing STEM fluency skills and/or teaching from a perspective of "figuring out instead of learning about".

Do you strive to help every student achieve? Proposals should address how to teach all students in all areas of science, including creating safe spaces for students to learn. Examples of sessions may include teaching STEM to all, using the Universal Design for Learning Framework, and/or incorporating supports for all students (gifted and talented, special education, Emergent Bilingual students, and economically disadvantaged).

What are your best practices for classroom instruction? Proposals should address implementing instructional strategies, using digital tools, and managing classroom routines and behavior. Examples of sessions may include ways to intentionally use technology tools, facilitate student discourse, and/or how to manage materials and hands-on experiments/labs.

Have you discovered effective ways to teach difficult concepts? Proposals should address newly implemented science TEKS, three dimensional science instruction, accelerated instruction and retrieval practice strategies, and common misconceptions. Examples of sessions may include teaching using phenomena, strategies such as models, academic discussion, and/or hands-on activities to increase student comprehension and retention.
