Region 4 supports districts in meeting the educational needs of students served through special population programs by providing guidance, technical assistance, and professional learning that strengthen compliance, access, and student success. Our work includes support for students experiencing homelessness through the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Program, students in foster care, migratory children and youth, students served through At-Risk and State Compensatory Education, Military-Connected students, and students served under Section 504. We help districts navigate enrollment and compliance requirements, implement effective academic and support services, and remove barriers. Through training, resources, regional collaboration, and partnerships with community agencies, Region 4 supports districts in strengthening programs, reducing risk, and improving outcomes for students and families.
