Region 4 Support for LASO Cycle 4 Educator Preparation Post-Award Planning and Implementation

Activating Your LASO Cycle 4 Teacher Pipeline with Region 4 Inspire Texas

Now that LASO Cycle 4 awards are being issued by the Texas Education Agency, Region 4 Inspire Texas is ready to help awarded districts activate and implement their PREP Program Allotment. We support educator preparation through residency preservice, Grow Your Own pathways, and mentorship programs aligned with HB 2 requirements and district workforce goals.

LASO Cycle 4 provides funding in three priority areas that build and strengthen the teacher pipeline.

Offers year-long, paid residencies with up to $24,000–$39,500 per resident.

Grow Your Own (GYO) Program

Each staff member receives $8,000–$12,000 to support paraprofessionals, substitutes, and other employees in earning certification.

Mentorship Program

Each novice teacher receives $3,000, including at least $1,000 for the mentor, to improve teacher retention.
