At the 26th Annual Region 4 Dyslexia Conference, we celebrate the brilliance of every learner. Discover how the science and strength of dyslexia inspire evidence-based practices, innovative tools, and lasting literacy success.

Dr. Fumiko Hoeft
Dr. Fumiko Hoeft

Dr. Hoeft, neuroscientist and Campus Dean at UConn Waterbury, is a global leader in dyslexia, resilience, and neurodiversity whose work has been featured in The New York Times, NPR, and CNN. In her keynote, Brilliantly Resilient, she shares practical, research-based ways educators can build student agency, belonging, and resilience to transform learning outcomes. Learn more.

Dr. Anson Koshy
Dr. Anson Koshy

Dr. Koshy, Houston native and board-certified Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician, is Chief of Developmental Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU and past president of the Houston Branch of the International Dyslexia Association. In his keynote, “Before I Forget, Just One More Thing About ADHD…”, he blends creativity, advocacy, and medical expertise with his personal experiences with ADHD to support children and reduce mental health stigma. This conference goes beyond dyslexia educators—welcoming special education teachers, principals, coordinators, speech-language pathologists (SLPs), licensed specialists in school psychology (LSSPs), instructional coaches, and district leaders.

Choose the format that works best for you. Join us in person for the full conference experience at the Region 4 McKinney Conference Center, or attend virtually from anywhere with live Zoom sessions. All attendees also receive on-demand access to recorded sessions after the event, so you can revisit content at your own pace. To keep everything in one place, we use the Whova event app, where you’ll find day-of updates, schedules, and all on-demand content.

The conference follows a dynamic schedule designed to keep you engaged and inspired. We’ll kick off the day with a morning keynote, followed by a wide selection of breakout sessions where you can choose the topics most relevant to your work. The day will close with an afternoon keynote to bring fresh insights and big-picture takeaways. As an in-person attendee, you’ll also have the chance to connect with vendors and exhibitors, back again this year to share the latest tools, resources, and solutions to support your work.
