Primary Purpose: Provide leadership, coordination, and expertise to the special education department in the assigned area of supporting the special education appraisal process. Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to district School Psychologists. Provide guidance, support, and training in the area of special educational and district operating guidelines to campus administrators, and other district stakeholders.
Collect, assess and analyze individual student information in order to provide pre-placement evaluations and reevaluations needed to plan appropriate educational programs for special needs students. This includes psychological consultation and evaluation along with other duties appropriate to the licensure such as manifestation determination reviews and counseling as a related service.
