TEA Federal Program Compliance Division The FPC primarily supports ESSA program compliance and administers most programs under Every Student Succeeds Act.

Department of Grant Compliance and Administration (GCA) This department is responsible for all discretionary and formula grants in regards to compliance with fiscal requirements of federal grants.

TEA Division of Grant Management This division has developed guidance resources to assist LEAs with fiscal program implementation.

ESSA Program Information: Title I, Part AÂ Title I, Part A provides supplemental funding to LEAs to acquire additional education resources at schools serving high concentrations of students from low-income homes.

ESSA Program Information: Title I, Part D Title I, Part D funds are dedicated to improving educational services to children in facilities for the neglected or delinquent. The goal is to enable program recipients to meet the same student performance standards that all children in the state are expected to meet.

ESSA Program Information: Title II, Part A The purpose of Title II, Part A is to increase student achievement consistent with the challenging State academic standards; improve the quality and effectiveness of teachers, principals, and other school leaders.

ESSA Program Implementation: Title IV, Part A The overarching goal is to increase the capacity to meet the following three goals: 1. Provide all students access to a well-rounded education, 2. Improve school conditions for student learning, 3. Improve the use of technology to improve the academic outcomes and digital literacy of students.

ESSA Program Implementation: Private Nonprofit School (PNP) Services “Private school equitable services” refers to the process of providing students, teachers, staff, and families at eligible private schools’ fair access to federally funded education programs and services, as appropriate.

Title I, Part A Capacity Building Initiative The purpose of this program is to provide sustained support and work cooperatively with campuses in implementing Title I, Part A and Title I, Part D, Subpart 2 programs to increase the opportunity for all students in meeting the State’s content and student performance standards.

Title IV, Part A Capacity Building Statewide Initiative This initiative is to create and provide training, resources, guidance, and to build capacity under the Title IV, Part A, program’s three content areas: well-rounded education, safe and healthy students, and the effective use of technology for LEAs statewide.
