Job Overview
The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) provides strategic leadership and executive oversight for all districtwide Human Resources functions and operations. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving human capital strategies, HR programs, systems, and processes that support the District’s educational mission, strategic goals, operational priorities, and workforce needs. The CHRO ensures efficient, compliant, and employee-centered service delivery across all Human Resources functions, including talent acquisition, staffing, workforce planning, compensation, benefits, employee relations, HR leadership development, HR systems, compliance, and personnel management. The position also ensures all HR policies, programs, and practices comply with applicable laws, governmental regulations, and Board policies while fostering a culture of employee engagement, retention, accountability, and organizational excellence.
