Reading by Design—Web App

Are you using Region 4’s Reading by Design® program at your campus?

UCNLearn has partnered with Region 4 to enhance teacher efficiency with Reading by Design^®. Based on districts using the app, the Reports Module has been greatly enhanced, allowing users to generate reports in seconds! Data from fluency and mastery checks is synthesized for effective analysis, saving hours of reporting time.

Available reports include:

• Reading Fluency Parent Reports—displays the accuracy score and word count per minute for all completed lessons in a selected period, with room for notes.
• Reading by Design^®Progress Reports—generates a list of new concepts covered in a selected period, with room for notes and skills assessed (leveraging mastery checks data).
• Reading by Design^®Mastery Check Reports—allows districts to download the last mastery check for each student at the end of the year, with a combined PDF of all mastery checks completed.

New Spelling Module

Spelling is foundational to literacy, but grading and adjusting instruction takes time. The new Spelling Module uses AI-powered grading, flexible lessons, and Reading by Design®–aligned word lists to simplify the process.

Teachers can monitor progress and IEP goals with real-time data, while students stay engaged through gamified feedback and built-in handwriting and typing analysis.
