Housed within the Special Education Department, Region 4’s Behavior and Mental Health team supports educators, specialists, and district leaders in implementing effective practices that meet the needs of all students—both in general education and special education. Our work emphasizes building positive, inclusive school environments where every learner can succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Services include professional learning and coaching on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), mental health integration, social-emotional learning, and MTSS-aligned systems designed to strengthen classroom management, promote student well-being, and provide targeted interventions for students with intensive needs.

Looking for strategies to support general classroom behavior and management? Visit our Behavior and Classroom Management page for additional tools and training designed for all educators.
