Get Classroom-Ready for K-5 Civics Learning
Beginning in summer 2026, Texas Senate Bill 3 requires each campus to send at least one teacher and one principal to complete TEA-approved civics training.
Region 4 is offering K–5 Civics Training sessions to help districts meet this requirement. Sessions are designed to strengthen civics knowledge, support classroom discussion, and build strategies for integrating civic learning across subjects. Browse upcoming sessions below and check back for updates as additional guidance and information become available.
Note: Region 4 coordinates training opportunities in alignment with state requirements. Official guidance, content, and requirements are provided by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). For the most up-to-date information, visit the TEA Civics Training Program page.
