Dr. LaQuita Carter

Dr. Carter brings 28 years of experience in education and leadership, having served as a teacher, instructional specialist, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent, and regional leader. She has consistently focused on leading system-level improvement that drives academic outcomes and builds leadership capacity. She is committed to advancing school improvement and turnaround efforts by partnering with superintendents and central office teams to design, implement, and sustain high-impact instructional and leadership systems. Dr. Carter is passionate about ensuring that strategic priorities translate into effective practice, resulting in equitable access to high-quality instruction and improved outcomes for all students.

Stefanie Hall

Stefanie Hall brings 22 years of experience, having served as a teacher, instructional specialist, testing coordinator, assistant principal, principal, and regional coordinator. Throughout her career, she has leveraged the continuous improvement cycle to drive system-level change and build leadership capacity. Currently, with Region 4 ESC, she supports educators in delivering high-quality instruction and implementing the systems necessary to close achievement gaps and elevate student outcomes.

Sonya Herrera

Sonya Herrera brings 13 years of experience at Region 4, supporting the Accountability, Research & Compliance Support Department, the Customer Experience Department and the Academic Performance & Leadership Impact Department and Integrated Services Department. Her role has included providing administrative support to the director and the Regional Coordinators of these departments for various program areas, including State/Federal Programs, Counseling, Migrant Education Program, CTE, School Leadership, G/T, Accountability, Assessment, Bluebonnet Learning, and Registration Services. Sonya Herrera is committed to continuing to provide excellent services to the team members she supports as well as to districts and charters in Region 4.

Dr. Jasmine Nnate

Dr. Nnate brings 14 years of experience in education, having served as a teacher, curriculum writer, mentor, teacher specialist, Instructor, and regional coach. Dr. Nnate has consistently focused on strengthening instructional practice and supporting educators in delivering high-quality learning experiences for students.

Dr. Nnate is committed to ensuring that all students have access to high-quality instruction and to building the capacity of teachers and leaders to improve student outcomes. Dr. Nnate partners with LEAs to design, implement, and sustain effective instructional systems that translate strategic priorities into strong classroom practice and measurable results for students.

Kim brings over three decades of experience in education and leadership, with a career spanning roles as a classroom teacher, instructional specialist, campus compliance coordinator, district-level instructional coach, professional development manager, and regional coordinator. She has deep expertise in designing and facilitating impactful professional learning, as well as in curriculum and assessment development. Throughout her career, Kim has partnered with teachers, campus leaders, and district administrators to strengthen instructional practices and drive measurable improvements in student outcomes. She is deeply committed to advancing educational equity and ensuring that all students—especially those in underserved communities—have access to a high-quality education.

Shatauna has 14 years of experience in secondary mathematics education, serving as a classroom teacher, a campus- and district-level instructional specialist, and, currently, a regional coordinator. Her experience includes supporting teachers and leaders through coaching and professional development, as well as curriculum and assessment development. In her role with Region 4 ESC, she works to support teachers and leaders in ensuring all students have access to high-quality instruction, with a focus on improving student outcomes.

Dodie Resendez brings 26 years of experience across classroom instruction, instructional coaching, curriculum and assessment design, and education leadership in science. Her career spans roles as a teacher, instructional coach, curriculum specialist, and district coordinator. As a regional specialist with Region 4 ESC for more than 15 years, Dodie is dedicated to supporting educators and advancing science education across the region.

Aimee Zepeda

Aimee Zepeda brings a decade of experience in education, specializing in elementary ELAR and SLAR. She has served as a bilingual classroom teacher across multiple grade levels, as well as a district multilingual specialist, reading instructional specialist, and regional coordinator. Through these roles, Aimee has developed deep expertise in both English and Spanish language arts, with a strong focus on bilingual education and emergent bilingual student success.

In her current role at Region 4 ESC, Aimee partners with school districts to improve student outcomes by designing and supporting sustainable systems that drive equitable achievement for all learners.
