The session will take you through the key aspects of this system.
Room 104 Ready Before the Rating: Using OnDataSuite to Stay Ahead of 2027 Accountability and Beyond Brittany Salazar, OnDataSuiteAccountability shouldn't be a surprise in August. This 45-minute session shows campus testing coordinators, elementary through high school, how to use OnDataSuite all year so their campus walks into ratings season prepared. We'll work live in the tools coordinators can use right away: File Status checks that catch missing or incomplete assessment files, STAAR, EOC, TELPAS, and Alt results by student group, Academic Growth views that show who's on track, and Closing the Gaps reports that point to the groups needing attention. Coordinators will leave with a plan built on the reports they already have access to, plus a heads-up on what TEA has proposed for 2028 so their prep keeps working.
Room 106 Delegate to Elevate: A Testing Coordinator's Guide to Letting Go Without Losing Control Katrina Brown, Katy ISDTesting coordinators are responsible for maintaining secure, organized, and compliant testing programs—but being responsible for the work does not mean doing all of the work alone. The high-stakes nature of assessment can cause coordinators to hold tightly to every detail. Over time, being the person who counts everything, answers everything, fixes everything, remembers everything, and responds to everyone can create an unsustainable workload—particularly during testing windows. This interactive session positions delegation as one of the most practical forms of self-care available to testing coordinators. Participants will examine what they are carrying, determine what can appropriately be shared, and develop systems for delegating without sacrificing security, compliance, or accountability. The session will also address the often-overlooked realities of coordinator wellness on testing days: When will you eat? Who covers when you step away? Have you planned for water and restroom breaks? If lunch is provided, can the testing coordinator actually access it? What happens when the person everyone depends on needs five minutes to reset? Participants will leave with practical strategies for creating a testing program that takes care of the assessment responsibilities without sacrificing the person coordinating them.
Room 201 The CTC Content Creator: Using AI to Simplify Your Workflow Donna Hawkins and Stephanie Lamb, Aldine ISDThis session will take Campus Testing Coordinators on an adventure on how AI programs can be useful in creating, organizing, and simplifying essential tasks used throughout the school year. Utilizing AI allows testing coordinators to reclaim time to focus more on students and staff support and personal well-being...in other words, to BREATH!
Room 202 From Start to Finish: Year-Round Planning for Successful Testing Accommodations Samantha Stratton, Tomball ISDAttendees will leave with a month to month planning guide with resources to aid in organization and execution of tasks related to instructional and testing accommodations.
Room 203 Testing with Confidence: Best Practices for Texas State Assessments Dr. Sharon Grover, Houston ISDIn this session, participants will explore essential responsibilities before, during, and after a Texas state assessment administration, with a focus on test security, confidentiality, and active monitoring. Participants will learn to distinguish between appropriate and prohibited student assistance, respond appropriately to common testing situations and irregularities, and apply strategies that support an organized, calm, and secure testing environment.
Room 204 TELPAS Planning: Organizing for Success Dr. Danielle White, Alief ISDThis session will focus on effective strategies for planning and organizing TELPAS assessments. Participants will explore best practices for ensuring successful implementation, including resource allocation, timeline management, and collaborative approaches.
Room 205 Unlocking STAAR Success: Teaching Students to Use Embedded Accessibility Tools Effectively Molly Tierney, Humble ISDMany students are unaware of the powerful tools available to them during the STAAR assessment. This session will provide an overview of embedded accessibility features available to all students, including text-to-speech supports, highlighting, answer eliminator, line reader, calculators, reference materials, and other designated tools. Participants will engage in hands-on exploration of the testing platform, learn best practices for modeling tool use during daily instruction, and discover strategies for helping students build familiarity and confidence before test day. Attendees will leave with practical resources and implementation ideas to support student success
Room 206 What I Wish I Knew in August Amanda Rosser, Humble ISDBeing a Campus Testing Coordinator comes with a lot to learn, and sometimes the best lessons come from simply doing the job. This session shares lessons learned during my first years as a CTC—the things that worked, the things I would do differently, and the systems that made testing season easier to manage. We’ll work through four areas that have made the biggest difference for me: planning early, using your resources, communicating with purpose, and remembering that testing is a team effort. Along the way, I’ll share real examples, resources, and lessons learned from actual testing experiences. The session will also model ELPS and WICOR strategies to keep participants actively involved in the learning. Through opportunities to write, discuss, collaborate, ask questions, organize information, and reflect, participants will experience strategies that can make required testing trainings more engaging and meaningful for staff. Whether you are brand new to the CTC role or have been doing it for years, the goal is to give you ideas you can take back, adjust to fit your campus, and use right away. You don’t have to know everything—you just need to know how to use the resources and people around you.
Room 207 Turn Your Testing HUB into Mission Control for You and Your Staff Stephanie Tompkins, Humble ISDParticipants will design a centralized, easy-to-navigate Testing HUB that organizes essential resources, streamlines staff communication, and provides engaging testing support materials for their campus.

11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m. Breakout Session 2
Room 102 Getting Students CCMR Met: Rethinking TSIA2 Preparation Melissa Alexander-Blythe, Magna EducationFor many Texas students, meeting TSIA2 college-readiness benchmarks is one of the most direct routes to CCMR. Yet most campuses still prepare students the same way: repeated full-length practice tests, a whole-class review, and a retest. Students who miss the benchmark rarely learn why. The essay, which requires a score of 5 or higher, is often the hidden barrier, because teachers don't have time to give detailed feedback on every draft. This session presents a different model: diagnose, target, give feedback, and re-measure. We will show how three supports make that cycle manageable for a single teacher with a full roster. Participants will also see how standards-mastery dashboards and standard-matched round-over-round growth reports help leaders spot ""bubble"" students and focus intervention time where it matters most. Attendees leave with a practical TSIA 2 intervention plan they can adapt for their campus, whatever tools they use.
Room 104 Ready Before the Rating: Using OnDataSuite to Stay Ahead of 2027 Accountability and Beyond Brittany Salazar, OnDataSuiteAccountability shouldn't be a surprise in August. Room 106 Ready, Set, Precheck: A Campus-Wide System for Assessment Readiness Katrina Brown, Katy ISDCampus Testing Coordinators are skilled problem-solvers—but what if we could spend less of test day solving preventable problems? Ready, Set, Precheck introduces a practical, campus-wide approach to assessment readiness that shifts the CTC's focus from reaction to prevention. Designed with whole-campus testing days in mind, this session demonstrates how a structured precheck process can be used to verify that the people, places, technology, materials, and operational systems needed for a successful assessment administration are truly ready before testing begins. Participants will explore how to conduct a systematic campus precheck, identify potential testing-day barriers, assign responsibility for corrective actions, and verify that concerns have been resolved. The session will also examine supporting preparation tools—including organized Test Administrator binders, staffing plans, room-readiness checks, communication systems, and support-role assignments—that help turn testing plans into testing readiness. Through practical examples and an interactive precheck activity, attendees will practice identifying issues that could easily become test-day problems if left unnoticed. Participants will leave with an adaptable framework and ready-to-use tools that can be customized for their own campuses. The goal is not to eliminate every unexpected situation. It is to ensure that preventable problems are addressed before they become test-day issues.

Room 206 Chaos to Calm: Scalable Testing Operations for Any Campus Elizabeth Waldrip, KIPP Texas Public SchoolsManaging the vast ecosystem of campus assessments - from BOY/MOY/EOY and IAs to STAAR, TELPAS, AP, and TSI - requires more than just administrative compliance; it requires sustainable leadership. Grounded in real-world CTC experience overseeing a secondary campus of nearly 1,000 students, this session reveals how testing coordinators can elevate their role from chaotic crisis management to strategic campus leadership. Learn how to establish an Assessment Logistics & Morale Team (ALMT) that offloads operational heavy lifting (bin production, classroom readiness loops, proctor relief routes) while intentionally coaching teachers who want to understand testing compliance or pursue future coordinator roles. We will also cover CTC best practices for daily after-action reviews, proctor morale drivers (like a campus “Testing Step Challenge”), and drafting a minute-by-minute contingency plan that keeps testing running seamlessly if the CTC is absent. Walk away with reusable templates, committee frameworks, and operational strategies to lead campus testing with clarity and confidence.
Room 207 Ctrl + Alt + Test: A Tech-Powered Guide for Testing Coordinators Aliah Fleury, Cypress-Fairbanks ISDTesting coordination doesn't have to feel like a thousand tabs open at once. In this interactive, hands-on session, participants will learn how to move from “Where did I save that?” to “I know exactly where it is!” by creating digital systems designed specifically for the testing coordinator role. Participants will explore strategies for building a centralized Testing Hub where teachers can easily access testing calendars, accommodations information, training materials, testing resources, forms, reminders, and other essential information. We'll also explore Google Drive organization, Google Calendar strategies for managing multiple responsibilities and deadlines, Google Forms and Sheets for collecting and tracking information, Canva for creating teacher-friendly resources, and additional technology tools that can simplify daily testing tasks. Rather than simply being shown a list of apps, participants will learn how to connect technology tools to create systems that work together. Through interactive challenges, demonstrations, and hands-on creation, participants will leave with ideas—and the framework—to build their own digital testing command center. Come ready to click, create, organize, and rethink what testing coordination can look like.
