School Board—Identifying and Reporting Potential Victims of Sexual Abuse, Human Trafficking, and other Maltreatment of Children for Trustees

Under Texas Education Code § 11.159(c)(2), a school board trustee must complete at least one hour of training every two years on identifying and reporting potential victims of sexual abuse, human trafficking, and other maltreatment of children. A newly elected or appointed trustee must complete the training within 120 days of taking office, and returning trustees must complete their hour within two years of their prior training.
