The role of an Educational Diagnostician in Bellville ISD is to implement the special education assessment
process and evaluate the educational, learning styles, and program needs of students referred to special
education services. The diagnostician will write reports, provide diagnostic information, effective
recommendations, and work collaboratively with all staff to provide the most appropriate programs for
students with disabilities. The diagnostician will conduct meetings, and build relationships with families
and team members. Additionally, in BISD, all stakeholders are considered learners and are expected to
continue to learn, grow, and positively contribute to the world around them.
