Primary Purpose: The fundamental purpose of the Secondary Math Specialist is to provide job-embedded professional development to build capacity in teachers and instructional coaches within the scope of their daily work. The Math Specialist will develop a cohesive partnership between the district and campuses in order to support and sustain best practices to improve personalized instruction, authentic learning, and student achievement. In addition, under the direction of the Secondary Mathematics Coordinator, the Math Specialist will participate in the design, upgrade, and evaluation of curriculum and district assessments.
